The Marine Who Bought A Bounce House Company
How Jump & Slide ended up in the Dixon family.
Anthony Dixon came home to Long Island from the Marine Corps looking for his next thing. He had been an entrepreneur before — he had even run a potato chip route — and he found a small inflatable rental business for sale in the paper. He did his homework, bought it, and never looked back.
That business was Jump & Slide, operating on Long Island since 2003. Two decades later it runs out of a warehouse in Deer Park with its own trucks, its own crew, and the largest selection of party rentals in Nassau and Suffolk — bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, mechanical rides, carnival games, tents, tables and chairs. Enough under one roof that you are not calling three companies to put on one event.
It is still a family business. Anthony runs it with his wife Jennifer and their daughters Kayla and Deanna, and the discipline he brought back from the Corps is still the thing customers notice most: show up when you said you would, and do not cut corners on the equipment children are about to climb on.
